1.THERE ARE SEVERAL PHOSPHATES (2, 7, 11, 18) WHICH SHOULD BE MODELLED BY A CONTINUOUS DISTRIBUTION OF DENSITY. AT PRESENT THEY ARE MODELLED AS A DOUBLE CONFORMATION. AS A RESULT SOME OF THE STEREOCHEMICAL PARAMETERS FOR THESE PHOSPHATES ARE NOT REASONABLE. WE EXPECT TO IMPROVE THIS FEATURE OF THE MODEL. 2.THERE IS A STRING OF RATHER CONTINUOUS ELECTRON DENSITY ON THE MAJOR GROOVE SIDE WHICH HAS BEEN MODELLED AS WATER MOLECULES (NUMBERS 52, 53, 70, 89, 120, 149, 150,151, 155, 167, 168 AND 170 ) WHICH SHOW MANY SHORT INTERMOLECULAR DISTANCES.SOME OF THEM MIGHT CORRESPOND EITHER TO PARTIALLY ORDERED MG2+IONS OR TO INADEQUATE MODELLING OF SOLVENT DISORDER.
